Songs from Once on Oscars longlist
Two songs from the Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova-starring Irish cinema 'Once' ar existence considered for inclusion on the short list for Charles Herbert Best Master Birdcall at the 80th Honorary society Awards.
The songs on the longlist from the Academy of Apparent motion Flick Liberal arts and Sciences are 'Falling Slowly' and 'If You Want Me'.
Last week 'Falling Slowly' was nominated in the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album and Best Birdcall Written for Movement Picture, Television or Other Visual Media categories for the Grammy Awards.
The Oscars longlist also has another Irish whiskey link: Jonathan Rhys Meyers' interpretation of the strain 'This Time' from his newly film 'August Rush' is likewise among the 59 tracks beingness considered.
The Academy Award nominees will be announced on Tues, 22 January 2008.
